NAC (Network Access Control/ Network Admission Control)

Network Access Control (NAC) is a comprehensive security solution used in various organizations to enhance the security of their networks by regulating the access to network resources based on specific security policies. The core function of NAC is to control which devices are allowed to connect to the network, what resources they are allowed to access, and how they can interact with the network environment.

NAC can be particularly valuable in environments with a high degree of device mobility and diversity, such as corporate networks that accommodate employee, contractor, and guest devices, as well as IoT (Internet of Things) devices. It helps in creating a secure and controlled network environment by ensuring that only compliant and authorized devices can access network resources, thus significantly reducing the risk of data breaches and cyber attacks.
