Near Field Communication (NFC)

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless connectivity technology that enables two electronic devices to communicate when they are within a few centimeters of each other. Utilizing a subset of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, NFC operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz and typically covers a communication range of about 4 cm or less.

NFC is widely used in various applications but is particularly prominent in the area of contactless payment systems. Here’s how NFC enhances different functionalities:

The simplicity and the security of NFC, especially its utility in enabling secure, quick, and easy transactions and connections, have driven its adoption across a wide range of industries and applications. As contactless interactions become more prevalent, particularly in the wake of health concerns from physical contact, NFC technology plays an increasingly vital role in facilitating these seamless and secure transactions and interactions in everyday life.
